Gentle fall into sleep
I've dealt with insomnia off and on over the years and tried several different options from medication to CBD to holistic remedies. A friend sent me a sample of these and it is now my go-to for those restless nights. I take one about 45 minutes before I want to be asleep, then lay down and read while I wait for the train to the land of nod to arrive. I can feel my body relaxing slightly, an overall sense of calm, and my brain starts to be quieter. I like that I get a "warning" that the sleep is coming and can put away whatever I'm reading or take off headphones and get into position. Once I close my eyes I'm out for the night; it's not a deep sleep, but it's deep enough that I don't wake as much as I typically would. I don't wake up groggy as long as I get at least 7 hours, I have found less than that & there's a slight drowsy feeling, but that wears off once I get moving around. I take them only as needed - sometimes when I take sleep aids regularly their power wears down, so I only take these when I know "I am going to need help tonight."
